Platform as a Service (PaaS) Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Platform as a Service (PaaS) Engineer to join our cloud engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our organization’s PaaS offerings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement highly scalable and reliable PaaS solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Develop and automate deployment pipelines for PaaS environments using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
• Integrate PaaS services with existing systems and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability
• Optimize PaaS infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and resource utilization
• Implement security best practices, access controls, and governance policies for PaaS environments
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide PaaS solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot PaaS infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues proactively
• Stay up-to-date with the latest PaaS technologies, tools, and industry trends

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing PaaS solutions on public cloud platforms
• Strong proficiency in at least one cloud provider’s PaaS offerings (e.g., AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Service, Google App Engine)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
• Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
• Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Go, or Java
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with serverless architectures and functions as a service (FaaS)
• Knowledge of cloud-native application development and microservices patterns
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and FinOps practices
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
